Leizhan’s Disc Thickener is a multi-disc rotary dewatering device engineered to increase the consistency of low-consistency pulp slurry while separating water from fiber to prepare pulp for subsequent processing steps (such as bleaching, beating, or paper making). Widely used in both virgin pulp and recycled pulp lines, it effectively reduces pulp consistency from around 0.8–1.2% to 3.5–4.5% (adjustable based on production requirements), recovering process water for reuse and minimizing waste.
At the core of the equipment are multiple rotating filter discs fitted with precision-machined stainless steel filter screens. Leizhan customizes the number of discs (from as few as 2 to over 20) to match a mill’s specific production capacity, ranging from small-scale operations to high-volume lines processing hundreds of tons of pulp per day. Every component is constructed from corrosion-resistant materials, built to withstand the constant exposure to wet pulp and process chemicals in the mill environment.
Leizhan’s engineering team optimizes every parameter—from disc spacing and screen mesh size to vacuum system design—based on the customer’s specific capacity and consistency requirements, ensuring the equipment delivers exactly the performance the mill needs.
