Specifically designed to handle the “broke” — paper scraps and rejects generated during the paper making process — Leizhan’s Broken Pulper is a cornerstone of sustainable and cost-effective paper production. During the paper manufacturing process, breaks in the paper web are inevitable, and edge trimming produces a constant stream of waste. Instead of letting this high-quality fiber go to waste, it is fed into a Broken Pulper. This machine sits beneath the paper machine (usually under the dryer section, size press, or reel) to immediately slush the dry or wet paper broke back into a liquid pulp form so it can be returned to the production cycle.
The heart of the Broken Pulper is the rotor. Leizhan utilizes a specialized PS Vokes Rotor or a customized sawtooth design. This geometry is engineered to provide strong hydraulic shear and mechanical friction, ensuring that even tough, sized, or coated paper broke is deflaked and disintegrated rapidly without damaging the fibers. Recognizing that downtime is the enemy of profitability, Leizhan’s Broken Pulpers feature accessible bearing units and replaceable rotor blades. The “bridge-type” structure often used in their installations allows for easier inspection and cleaning beneath the paper machine.
